Eastern Narrowmouth Toad, Gastrophryne carolinensis
The Eastern Narrowmouth Toad, Gastrophryne carolinensis, reaches about 1.5 inches as adults. The underside of the Eastern Narrow Mouthed Toad is mottled, which helps in identification. The head is somewhat pointed in shape. They also have no external eardrums. Photo: United States Geological Survey
